Can I deply MS Office from Public > Software Folder

My WD MBL has been backing up my home files in the background for years, I never gave it much thought until I got a new laptop. As I transitioned to my new laptop I noticed the Public > Software folder on the My Cloud site and in file explorer. Can I install my purchased software to MBL and easily deploy it to computers on my home network? Would I still need the product key? I have Microsoft Office 2010, HP printer software, and a few other software discs with product keys. I’ve had to dig the software discs out a few times over the years and I’m just wondering if there’s an easier way.

There’s nothing special about the Software share. It’s just a convenient place that WD stashed away the various install files for their own software. It could just as well be anywhere.

You could store your CDs as ISO files in any share you want, but you’ll still need product keys, of course.

Thanks for the feedback! It sounds like it’s just as easy to dig out the discs when I need them.
