Can anyone help a new MyCloud user?

Ive just plugged in my new MyCloud, plugged it into my router and the blue LED light is constant. But I just get an error message telling me to check my ethernet connection, wait for the blue light and rescan. When I click Rescan I just get the same error message again. 

I cant seem to get anywhere with this piece of kit… can anyone help?

Can you see the device on the network explorer? If yes, find  the IP address of the device and type it in the browser. Can you reach the admin UI?

If you can’t see on the newtork explorer do you have network discovery and file sharing on for your current local network?
