This is a brand new hard drive that my MacBook won’t recognize. I’ve opened disc utility and it remains on the “Loading disks” prompt when the passport is plugged in. However if I disconnect the passport from my laptop disc utility opens without any issues. I have also tried opening disk utility first then connecting the passport and nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I just plugged in a brand new passport and it won’t come up on the computer. Does not recognize the external drive when trying to format.
