Blank rectangular box in center of screen

I have a Media Player Live Plus that sometimes suddenly displays a blank rectangular ( square box) box in the center of the screen with a boarder. The border proper displays the current output, may even be the ping/pong WD. The media box sometimes corrects itself if one waits long enough.

The connection is a medium strength W-Fi Dlink approved router and Dlink approved USB WiFi adapter.  This happens playing an .avi file or Internet Media( Pandora ).  Replaying the .avi file again will not fail in the same place or after the same amount of time. Times between failures vary from 5 or 10 minutes, or even an hour. Output mode is composite video. The audio is never affected. The video is perfect just before the failure. It may happen at a point where much of the screen is ‘rewritten’, as in a scene switch where the background is completely changed.

Firmware is believed to be the latest. Server OS is Microsoft Vista.

The LivePlus is used at two locations that have the same Router/Network configuration. The CPU is also moved from one location to the other. No configuration work is done when the LivePlus is moved, it all setup and recognizes both networks. Location A work perfectly and location B fails every other time, but may work occasionally for a weekend.

Any hints are gratefully appreciated.
