when i update to the 2.07.17 firmware do i need to extract also the (bi2) file to the usb? or just bin,fff and ver. I’m asking because on another forum they say to extract the 3 files to a usb which are: bin,fff and ver.

Yes, all the files. Some times there are 3 files and sometimes there are 4. What ever is in the firmware zip you extract to you USB thumbdrive.
Also, make sure that your USB thumbdrive is formated as FAT32.
