When I turn on my WD TV LIVE HUB it sometimes give out a loud “BEEP!” and then again at random times…Is This Normal?
No and I can’t see where the beep could be coming from. Are you hearing via the TV / Audio output or from the actual hub box.
Sounds like its coming from the unit…I wonder if its cause I have 2 WD 1tb drives passports plugged into it…
The test is easy, right? Unplug one of the Passports for a few hours and see what happens. The hub, after all, is just a little single-board computer running a flavor of Linux. It could possibly be an over-temp alarm due to the power load of two external drives. Also make sure air flow to the hub isn’t blocked and that the little fan is running.
