Backup won't start

I have made several backups using the tools provided with my PR4100. Just recently though when I try to create a backup from the NAS to USB and select all the files to back up and press create it just says “updating” and never goes any farther than that.

Not sure what the problem is. I can see the USB in my settings and it has plenty of space available. I tried plugging in a second USB device and the same problem is happening.

Any suggestions?

When did this issue start to happen? Did you perform a firmware update recently? Was there a power outage or a change on your unit’s settings? Is this happening with any USB drive you have tried?

I powered off and on and that seems to have reset everything. It is working now. **computers 101 - restart if things are not working.
