have a new my passport slim 1tb, trying to backup files for the first time. progress has been stuck at 1.06gb (out of 28.46gb) for 3 hours, and the indicator light on harddrive is unblinking, indicating idleness. task manager reports wd smartware using 20-30k mem steady. program is slow to respond and “sticky”…it will not change menus or screens readily. usb 2.0…
what can i do to get things moving again?
how can i check data transfer rates?
should i skip the smartware and transfer files manually?
