Elements 2 TB working OK until a few months ago. Now neither Smartware and WD Backup software recognizes the external drive, which, otherwise seems to be working properly. Is there a software fix?

Thanks for your reply Cliff,
Actually, I have downloaded both. Smartware doesn’t work with my
Elements and WD Backup only recognizes Dropbox and not the Elements. I was
hoping that I could find a program that would allow for automatic backups,
like before.
