My husband bought me a My Book Essental. He was under the impression that “Backup Anywhere” came with it, as I wanted a direct copy to the drive rather than an encrypted one.
He has a My Book and a My Passport himself and now is not sure which drive he got that particular software with. He registered my product without my knowledge, so when I tried to register it, I had a few problems, and I think one of those was the download of “Backup Anywhere” from the WD site. When I click on the download button, it just takes me to the page where it lets you register a new product, and doesn’t download it.
Can I actually use the “Anywhere Backup” on a MY Book, or is it a glitch caused by trying to re-register?
