Backing up

My book says its ready to backup, but does not let me push the start backup button.  It lets me push the stop button but not the start. It just sits there all day saying reading for backup.  I’ve tried restarting, not sure what to do. Thanks

Have you tried Updating the firmware on your drive? What about updating s.w.?
