Hello, the MyBook for Mac is currently backing up the iMac. Now, I want to move on the iMac contents to the MacBook, and continue doing that on an ongoing basis. Any suggestions how this can be achieved, and whether I can expect any issues arising from the fact that the two computers are running on different (iOS) operating systems? Thank you!

As a recommendation, move the files manually copy and paste. This will allow you to control what you are transferring.
