I have run into occasions where the Media Library becomes corrupt and I have to rebuild it. I’m using a USB connected 2 tb WD Passport drive. Is there a way to backup the Media Library for safe keeping and restoring it when necessary ? I have tried using the Media Library Clear function to rebuild, but after it loses actor search data and the Resume function doesn’t work most of the time. I have to rebuild the library using Rescan Info, very time consuming. Thought: will saving the .wdtv directory on the usb drive save the info?
It might. You could try it. However, you will most likely have to let the device rescan the drive.
