backed up windows 10 now cant read old files are hidden its like it only has a name of ESD now and cant get to my old files movies, pics, music at a lost for words pleace help

You backed up your PC, and it changed all the files on your PC to Hidden? — or the files on the Passport aren’t readable?
If it’s the latter, that’s on purpose. Backups aren’t just copies of existing files. They’re bundles of files and changes to files. You can’t read them as-is, you’d have to restore them to read them.
