I just got my new passport today and I have some questions in mind that I need some answers. I am now doing the Back up using the WD SmartWare and my question is, after I backed up my files from the computer to the passport, can I use the files in the passport just as a conventional USB device? Your response is pretty much appreciated. Thank You
I wouldn’t rely on just one drive internal or external no matter who makes it to keep important data. A backup is at least 2 copies on different drives.

Totally agree here. 2 copies, away from your working dataset, on different hardware.
