Hi.
I need your help with the following.
I have a My cloud home, and I need to share a folder with a person, to the person who shares the folder, you can only see it on the web, and when sharing on the web, you can not open the documents.
On my computer my clou home appears as a disk and I assign a letter to the unit.
The query is, if there is a way that the person who shares the folder can also see it in their file browser and not on the web?

Anyway I attach an image of what I have on my computer and what I need is that the person to whom I share the folder can see it in the same way.

The only way for the person to see “Mario’s My Cloud Home” as a mounted drive is if:

  • User installs WD Discovery on their computer
  • You give the user your MyCloud.com email address and password

A bother solution is to

  • invite a guest user to your MCH
  • guest user installs WD Discovery on their computer
  • guest user sign in with their own MyCloud.com email address and password
  • you put the content in the “Family” folder for sharing between device users
