AVI files do not play

Any time I try to play AVI files I get the message.

‘Unable to play the selected file. Please refer to the user manual for a list of supported file formats’

After I do a restart from the setuop menu they start playing. But once I go to play a different avi file or turn the system off I get the same error message.

Some people say it might be due to the latest firmware update.

Please fix this!

This happens with all your AVI’s? I can play my AVI’s movies without any issue. Are this located in a NAS or a USB drive?

Yes, its happening to all my video files actually. Haven’t been able to play anything.

They are played via USB stick. I have tried formating the stick in different formats but nothing works. These video files play fine using this usb stick via usb port on ps3 or a samsung tv so it doesnt seem to be usb stick or file format that’s the problem.

Below is info on a typical file I try to play in case that helps. I think there is something wrong with the western media player and not my media because other systems can play it.
