[APP] Transmission various versions for firmware V4+ (05/2020)

AdFly did some flawed changes at their end without considering the consequences, so make sure you disable any popup blockers. I did a quick fix at my side, please try again.

Wonderful ! It’s working perfectly now.

Thanks a lot !!

Hello
What might be the reason that transmission ver 2.92 consumes almost 50% of CPU time while there are no torrents active

Thank you

Reinstalled after firmware update but getting an error of “download directory path is not absolute” when using the Chrome plugin to add torrents. Was working fine beforehand?

Here’s the line from my settings.json…

“download-dir”: “/DataVolume/shares/Craig/Downloads”,

I’m a bit of a noob with this in truth so, what have I done wrong?

Thank you for support.
Now my cloud fw is 4.0.xxx with this app already,So I need to update new fw then install this app again.

Could you plz let me know how to do it?

Hi @Nazar78,

I can’t access to WDMyCloud | TeaNazaR.com

Is there any problem?

Regards

Solved. It was a DNS problem

Why is there a ten second and then a five second time limit to type yes when installing? I would like to read what is being said on the screen before I type yes to anything. Can you extend these time limits?

Cheers

That’s how the installer works. If you want to read, just let it timeout.

I’ve two questions after I restore MC to factory setting (restored only system parameters).

How to get back trasmission; have I to start from the beginning?

Can i install trasmission while MC is working to make a new safepoint?

Tnx.

mau----

I installed CloudDAVMod v1.0 and Trasmission on my WD Mycloud
Can I remotely access Trasmission?
Thank you!

Yes you have to repeat every steps after firmware upgrade or factory reset.

And yes you can install while MC is working on the safepoint.

Of course you can, with the correct port-forwarding from port 9091 of your router to the MyCloud.

My 9091 port is correct port forwarding. How I remotely access transmission? What web add? Sorry for my bad English.
Thank you!

You can access using your public IP, http://what-ever-your-public-ip:9091/.

The public IP address of your router, that is.

Hi Nazar78!

What about Transmission App on new devices with firmware 2+ (probably Clouds 2-nd gen)
Currently firmware is 2.21.126

If I will install App form your guide will it bricks my Cloud?

I don’t have the 2nd gen devices to support. Search this forum for 2nd gen alternatives.

hi Nazar89,

thank you for your work.

my device is a new-bought My Cloud with firmware 2.21.xx.
in the install step, I had the following problem:

do you know how to fix the problem?

Hi there again. This app has been working perfectly on my cloud, just wanted to know if you have or any of you have added a script for the auto-removal of torrents after download/completed. I had found several instructions but i don’t know if it suits this mod version and compatible for the cloud. I am also using sickrage with it so the torrent list on transmission become crowded at some point in time. Thanks everyone!

hey jason, as nazaar said, the app perfectly supports 4.x version of mycloud and not the ver 2.x. You’ll have to search for the 2nd gen version of the cloud in other thread.
