Anyone know how to initialize a 1.5 TB drive under XP?

I tried the usual, Disk Management and then right click to create a partition… except create a partition ain’t an option (only properties is, which reports the drive is “fine”).  I have two of these bricks and am basically stuck, as I have no further ideas on how to proceed (and, of course, Western Digital has support the way MacDonald’s has healthy food, which is to say, none).

I’ve NEVER had a drive behave this way before – I’ve always been able to use Disk Management to partition and format.  Anyone have a clue here?

If you haven’t already figured this out by now, right click on the box to the left of the graphic representation of the drive in disk management, and you should get the option to initialize.  It will show what drive number your drive is.
