Annoying audio text on loop

i got a WDTV Live and set a video to loop.  It does, but when it plays it puts a text message on the screen about the audio format.  Why is that and is there any way to get rid of it?  It was advertised as having a auto play and loop feature for digital signage, but the random cryptic text messages popping up is not part of my message!

hello WD?  you advertise this product as

"Automatic play: Set the player to play a selected media file automatically when the unit is turned on. Perfect for living art on your HD TV or for digital signage. " from http://www.wdtvlive.com/products/wdtv#overview

but displaying garbage text on screen is a deal breaker for digital signage.  is there any way to avoid this?

I don’t know why they have to have the annoying audio text. However to be fair to WD you are looking at the info for the WDTV and not the WDTV live. They are different units. This is not a feature listed on the WDTV Live.

that is incorrect the wdtv does not have auto play at all, only the live does.

Page 66 0f the WDTV manual definitely mentions the Autoplay facililty in some detail.

well i have a wdtv and it doesn’t have this feature, but the wdtv live does.  regardless, showing the audio info in the loop is a bug and i would love to hear when or if it’s going to be fixed.

I have wd tv live and it has an auto play function. Wd tv generation 1 does not have and I guess that gen 2 has. I would buy some 20 units more if they could remove the audio overlay text  about what audio channel is used when video starts to play. I do exhibitions and some other digital signage.

I was once told that this is not for digital signage and get a notebook if you want more options. Well I don’t know why they would not like to sell more their products. I know many professionals who would buy lots of these products if the overlay text bug would  be solved.
