The player has worked beautifull up until now. I have updated to the newest firmware. That was when the problem started. I have gone back to 2.07.17 but thefrezzing and stuttering has not gone away. It seems I can watch a movie for about 15 minutes and then it starts to freeze. I can fix it by hitting stop and restarting the movie(resume). How do I fix this problem?

I have read many posts on here about the same problem. My problem mirrored the network lag problem. I did some further investigation on my network and discovered a network switch that was acting up. I have changed out the switch and the problem has disappeared.
