All files within folders now showing

I have recently upgraded to the latest firmware but have encountered a problem.

All my movies are stored within their individual movie folder and contain the xml, jpeg and data files (mkv, avi…). Previously only the movie file was visible (along with thumbnail image) at the level just below VIDEO. Unfortunately now when I navigate down to below the VIDEO level,  I see an thumbnail image for every file associated with each film. Hence my folders have tripled or quadrupled overnight!

Grateful for any assistance that anyone can provide.

File hierarchy used to be

WDTV…

…VIDEO…

…NAME OF FILM…

…MKV…JPEG…XML

Now it appears to be

WDTV…

…VIDEO…

…NAME OF FILM…MKV…JPEG…XML

If this is all on USB or INTERNAL storage, other folks have reported that problem.

Rescanning or Clearing the media library is the only fix.

It’s on the INTERNAL storage.

I’m on my 4th rescan, ho hum…

Patience is a virtue, so I’m told :wink:

A clearing of the Media Library and rebuild seems to have done the trick.

Interested to see if there is a re-occurence.

But let’s stay positive…

There probably will be a recurrance the next time you add more media.   At least that’s what folks are reporting.   I don’t use the internal storage very often, so I’m not familiar with the issue first-hand…
