Did you download and install the My Media software to a computer on your local network?

To get started, visit https://www.mymediaalexa.com and click the Download link to install the My Media for Alexa app on the computer that contains your home media library or iTunes library.

Once installed, you will be asked to enter your Amazon credentials to link My Media with Amazon. Once you have done this, simply select the folders on your computer that contain your music collection, or alternatively select your whole iTunes library.

See the following discussion where the My Media skill/software is discussed as it may have additional information on using the My Media skill that may be relevent.

Yes all on the same network. I’ve tried disabling my vpn and firewall, forwarded a port but all with the same result

Stefan mobile

I have not purchased an Alexa device yet and am waiting untill the Sonos One is available which has Alexa capability built in. I assume that this device will also be compatible with My Media.

if this is the skill I tried, the coders said there is an option on the PC side of the app for NAS that has to be filled in, login info, IP address of the NAS etc,

Hi thanks for your reply, yes I’ve done that UNC address, login name and password etc.
