Took teh firmware upgrade for yje Ex2 ultra 5.09.115
I have been using WD smaartware backup software of years and now after the upgrade
it says No writable partition found and next to teh drive it has a red cross
I can access all teh documnets and teh partitions
Per WD, Smartware is not supported under OS5. See the following Knowledgebase article that details the differences between OS3 and OS5.

With Smartware no longer supported when one moves to OS5, one may look into using any number of free and paid third party backup programs that support backing a computer to a local network NAS device like the My Cloud devices.
