I have two laptops running Windows 10 and a desktop Windows 7 that I want to backup to a network hard drive like the WD. Can you assure me that the WD is compatible with Windows 10 as I am unable to verify this through the Google search engine. I am disappointed with the Windows 10 backup program as the maximum time delay you can set to perform a backup is 1 day. this obviously then requires an external hard drive permanently connected. Which obviously is impractical.
Both of my computers, desktop and laptop, have OS 10 on them and work fine with the WD My Cloud. I use the SmartWare Pro for doing my backups and here is a recent screen capture I made showing my most recent backup of my desktop which I have scheduled to perform twice a week. The next backup as you can see will be performed in the morning. My laptop backs up on Sunday mornings.
I have the latest Windows 10 updates, Windows 10 Home; Version 1511; OS Build 10586.29, on both computers.
