Adding a second drive?

Hi, I recently bought a new EX2 Ultra, As I own alreasy some hard drives I bought it without disk to be able to use mine.

One of them is empty but the other has some files I wouldnt want to loose, my idea is to install first the empty drive, set up, tranfer the data from the other drive and then plug the other drive. Will it be possible not loosing the data?

I am going to use a RAID 0 or JBOD setup as backup of important files will be in another drive

Hi, I would recommend you to connect the drive that have information to a computer either using a desktop and connecting the SATA and the power cable or using a USB to SATA connector then placing them in the enclosure as ANY RAID that you create will delete the information on the drives.

So I understand there is no way of adding a second disk drive without loosing the information you already have on the old disk? Bad news.

I thought it was possible, anyway it is not critical data
