Add a Windows Share Hard Drive to PC

I would  like to add a second hard drive for media storage to my PC. I stream all my media from my PC now using Windows Share with Windows 7 without any problems.  Would a second hard drive work the same way without installing an operating system on it or would there be any other problems I don’t know about?

Yes, if you add another drive it will be the same.  You shouldn’t have to do anything special except to make sure you share the drive. 

When you add the drive, and the drivers are installed (Windows should find and install the drivers automatically) you should see the drive show up under “My Computer”, then it’s just a matter of either sharing the drive or a folder on the drive.
