Actual Capacity of My Cloud Duo Drives in RAID 1 Mode

I’m sorry if this has been answered elsewhere but I can’t seem to find the answer anywhere I have looked. I am interested in buying a My Cloud Home Duo 4TB unit. Does the stated capacity of 4 TB apply when the drive is in RAID 1 (mirror) mode, actually giving me 4TB of storage space? In other words, are there actually two 4TB drives inside? Or is the stated capacity of 4TB cut in half when using the unit in RAID 1 mode and I effectively only get 2TB of storage? Thank you.

A 4TB unit has 2x2TB drives.

RAID0 = a bit less than 4TB
RAID1 = a bit less than 2TB

“A bit less” is because some space is used for internal operating system storage space, logs, etc.

Thank you! That’s very helpful!
