Accessing protected wd passport with Dlink from a computer, is it possible?

HI, my scenario as follow

Use WD software to protect my passport slim 2tb.

connect hdd to a usb of my Dlink modem wifi router 2890AL.

I am unable to access the WD hdd from my computer.

If I unprotect the wd passport then it is okay to use and see from my computer.

I want to protect WD hdd and at the same time accessing this hdd from my usb Dlink, do you think it is possible?

if it is, how?

From my understanding, the unlock software only supports direct USB connection. So you can’t do what you are trying with a networked attachment.

Would be nice if you could, but I think you’re outtaluck I’m afraid.
