Accessing our MyCloud EX2 after updating MAC to ver 10.13.4?

Hello. I work for an organization that set up a MyCloud EX2 four years ago as our shared drive system for the office. The actual device lives in our offices, and all staff can access the device remotely on their laptops (downloaded the EX2 set up).

Ever since my colleague updated their Mac OS High Sierra to version 10.13.4, they has been unable to access our device remotely on their laptop. Is there an update to the EX2 set up that needs to be done?

Any advice is appreciated!
Also I am not a software/hardware/IT person, so clear straightforward help/instructions is doubly appreciated!

I have exactly the same issue. The only way to discover the drive is through Time Machine, but only seems to be working for backups.
