Accessing my drive locally to move files

I inadvertently disconnected the drive front the network through my computer and am unable to resync it to the my computer tab so that I can send files to the drive. I have the drive listed under media devices and as a storage device under the network but when I try to remap the drive it only does it on my computer hard drive. As a result of all this I accidentally erased the drive so starting over I am setting up a Raid 1 partition and need to get the drive on my computer folders so I can start backing up again. Advice
