 I have a new  WD caviar with 250 gb. I connect it like witch foolow the slave configuration, but the windows doesnt recognize it. What sotfware I have to use to format the hard disk?

These are some things you need to consider:

  • what operating system are you using.  some may not support large size drives
  • how old is your pc.  your bios may not support the larger drive size.
  • check data cables.  they may be bad.
  • is the drive jumpered correctly
  • if you don’t really know what to do, get someone to help that can look at your pc.
