£90 in the UK?

It looks like it.  £89.99 here, which I would imagine comes from an official press release:

Wow… pretty expensive across the pond… is that including the VAT?

Aye, that includes VAT.

You should note that the hub is priced at £199.99, but Amazon UK do it for £175, whilst the last version WDTV Live was officially £99.99 and Amazon UK do it for £80.

So at £90, this should sell (once the price has settled) for somewhere between £70 and £80, which includes 80% VAT.

Staring at £80 is a good start see what Amazon offers too !

Thanks for the link although BT own dabs so its not too surprising the price is the same.

A couple of people at Amazon Marketplace (UK) have this for sale - one at £107, the other at £100.  The model number is the PAL number, so it doesn’t look like a US import.

This item is up for sale at WD’s online stores for France, Germany, Italy and Spain, so it may be an import.  No matter, the waranty should be valid across the EU, and the instruction booklet will probably be one of these in every language - if not the English version can be downloaded.

I’ve ordered one, as I have half-term coming up next week, and I could do with a week setting it up properly, etc, and theextra £20 doesn’t make too much difference to me.  Not getting it until the start of November, or later, would be maore of a pain than paying the extra £20.  I want this up and running 100% for Christmas.

I’ll let you know how I get on.

Steve W

DO NOT ORDER ONE OF THOSE FROM AMAZON UK.

I have contacted both sellers and neither have the new model.
