Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

but if you do something wrong you will have a brick

you can unbrick a bricked drive. I bricked mine the week I got it lol. followed a guide on here and had it working again the next day.

One thing I’ve learned long long ago is the a companies customer support is nearly always worthless and instead it’s their users that provide the needed support
