6TB Thunderbolt 3 HDD Not Recognized, WHY?!

Every time I use the thunderbolt 3 cord provided and plug it into my laptop (Windows) nothing pops up to recognize the device but when I plug it into the normal usb-c slot it recognizes it but I get a dramatically slower read/write speed…

Can someone please help me or are the 2 thunderbolt slots on the back of the drive for something else?
