My 500gb Passport keeps changing drive allocation…Not good when I have 1000’ds of books index on the passport. The index information is on c: drive so when my passport changes drive location I have to index all once again. So I have done this several times…But when I attach a USB Peripheral such as a digital camera my passport changes its drive location again. I need to permanently allocate a drive location for my passport so all other USB ports will be slave to it… Can you help me with this?
You can always change the drive letter to one of your choosing, if the drive letter change after you connect another USB device, just change back to the one that you wish to use. The link below will show you how to:
