I recently purchased a WD Blue 4TB hard drive (5400rpm, 256mb cache, WD40EZAZ) and need to purchase a SATA cable to connect it to my motherboard.
Is this hard drive compatible with latched SATA cables or do I need to get unlatched cables? There is no indication of this online.

latched or unlatched SATA cables will work fine … latched is better, preventing accidental disconnection.
