My 2 TB hard drive Elemet Portable harddrive purchased two months ago , is showing hard drive but when i click it show folders , it hangs and dont show up till the end. It has lot of files inside it. This is very unusual thing and disappointing quality from WD.
The partition appears to be corrupted.
Normally this happens when the drive is disconnected without ejecting from computer or if dropped.
Try using a data recovery software to retrieve the files and then consider reformatting the drive.
