Thank you for posting your screenshot and bringing this Auth0 error to the forum’s attention. I have seen this before and it occurs with higher frequency than is necessary but usually can be solved. This issue is probably related to the browser tracking cookie error that many 2FA authentication schemes use to confirm the identity of the user. This can usually be fixed by one of these:
- Disabling browser extension that is blocking third party tracking cookies.
- Run in Chrome incognito mode or Safari Private mode
- In one case, relaxing Firefox security settings with regards to cross-domain cookies solved this issue.
If the browser cannot sent this cookie, it’s most likely because of some software or browser extension or something which is blocking third-party tracking cookies. Safari does this by default thanks to its Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP2) software that is built-in. This can explain why silent auth works in Chrome’s incognito mode but not in normal mode. If you’re running some extensions, you might want to disable some of them to narrow down which one is preventing the cookie from being sent.
I have the same problem 2FA code always problem, login from private browser and setting allow the cookies is the same problem, please how to resolve it ???
I want to log back in to My Cloud Home on my iPhone. When verifying my identity, a 2FA code is sent. However, I only receive it after 6-7 minutes, as the identity page has expired. I then get the following message:
Oops! We encountered a problem connecting to your account. The two-factor authentication code has expired.
What should I do to resolve this problem?
