This morning I received an alert from the device saying there is a new firmware version available, but when I try to update it all I get is:
“Unable to connect to the firmware update server”
My device is a model WDBCTL0040HWT-10 which I’ve been told previously is a single bay Gen2 (not Ex2). The download page shows the latest 2.x firmware is 2.31.204 … but it was released in December. My device is connected 24/7, so I don’t understand why I would only be notified of that version now (3 months later). Nor am I sure it is the correct update anyway.
Does anyone know if there really is an update for my device? And also have a link to it?
