2 volumes with same name on My Cloud EX4100

Hello,

I had 2 x 4 TB RAID 1 on volume 1 slots 1 and 2, I wanted to add another volume, 2 x 10 TB also RAID 1on slots 3 and 4.

I’ve taken off disks in slots 1 and 2 (where my critical data is), and formatted slots 3 and 4, thinking to change the name of the volume later. Now I see I can’t change the name of the volume, I wondering what will happen if I restart with the 4 slots filled and the system finds 2 times volume 1.

Is my data in slots 1 and 2 a risk ?
How do I fix it ?

It shouldn’t be a problem. Volume_[1-4] are named automatically.

So slot 3 and 4 will be automatically named Vol 2 when I will start the system with the 4 disks ?
