1TB WD drive won't read Gig USB drive

I have Western Digital 1TB drive, I rotate three Gig USB drives to backup some files weekly.  

I formatted a new drive as NTFS in a single partition using the exact same hardware.  It works fine in Windows 7 connected directly to my computer, however my WD won’t read it?  Is there any kind of autorun file or hidden file that the WD needs to see the drive?  I looked at the other drives and clicked to show hidden files but could not see a specific WD file.

Any suggestions?

sorry, do you mean the wd software wont read the Gig USB drive. If that’s your question, that software only read the internal drives for the computer example the C: drive.
