Which external drives support UAS/UASP for full USB 3.0 speed?

So I’m looking for an alternative to a Seagate drive.  This will be a target for backups on a server needing to pump 500GB onto it in as little time as possible over USB 3.0.  Thus BOT transfers will not cut it, need UAS/UASP.  But all I can find in specs from Western Digital is “3x faster than USB2.”  REALLY???  I know there are lots of variables in the way of gettinging full 5Gb on USB 3.0.  But even if I’m conservatively cutting the 10x improvements in USB 3.0 over USB 2 in half–that would be almost DOUBLE what WD is advertising.

I have seen this asked before, and it went practically unanswered.  I WANT to buy a WD drive, but I need more concrete engineering details than glib marketting!

So PLEASE, is there a list of which external drives support UAS/UASP?

I do not see any mention USB Attached SCSI Protocol support on WD’s main site. Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

Regards,

I am in the same position. I am planning to add extra drives to mycloud but I need to know if this protocol is supported.
