WDTV Live SMP Wireless Connection Unavailable

I’ve had the WDTV Live SMP for a couple of weeks and have been happily connecting via wireless.

Then yesterday I turned on and connection was lost and the page in setup to select wireless/wired connection no longer appears for me to reselect.

I’ve tried a factory reset but it still does not appear.

So I’m now lost on how to get back to selecting any of my wi-fi networks to be able to access the internet

I’ve read a few internet posts quoting this problem but none provide an answer other than it’s a faulty unit

Can anyone help?

For testing purposes, I would recommend a manual firmware update/rollback by means of a USB disk drive in order to address the possibility of a firmware behavior error. If this procedure is unable to address the situation at hand, the unfortunately you may need to consider a free replacement under warranty.
