I have some files that won’t play on my Wd Tv Live. They are .FLV files and MediaInfo reports the codec as VP6. Any chance of seeing VP6 support in the near future?
I’ve transcoded some of the files into XVid, but the resulting files are around twice the original size. Any alternatives?
Unlikely ever to occur. The hardware cannot decode VP6. And you cannot add codecs to do this device, video decoding is done in hardware not software.
