The Windows button right click context menu, except “Shot down or sign out” stopped working after installing WD software that came with my new Passport. I was only able to figured this out after hours and days of testing with Microsoft. Once Smartware was removed everything started to work fine again but I had to do a full recovery to fix everything. Software shouldn’t be released if it causes a major problem like this one did. At least have a warning in your software installaers.
I have reported it to WD and will update any responses i get.
