MyBook Essentials wont back up

…it just flashes in the upper left hand corner between ‘Select Content To Back Up’ and ‘Partial Back Up Accomplished’.  My content is selected (it’s all yellow) and the ‘Start Backup’ button is dimmed and unselectable.

Just downloaded new firmware (above issue was happening prior) but issue remains.

Any thoughts??

When the backup has been started already you can not click on start backup again. 

You can stop the backup, restart the computer and then press start backup again.

You can also do a Time Machine backup and avoid the hassle :wink:
