I have my imac hooked up to time capsule and My Book Live…the iMac keeps saying startup disk FULL. I cannot even download anything to help me with this…the time machine is not working and My Book Live cannot be found! I have been working on this for 6 days now and am about to cry…seriously! The iMac is full, my iPad is full, and my iPhone is full!!!

I recommend that you do a reset and a power cycle on the my book live and then try to map it.
How to map a WD network drive on a Mac
After the drive is seen then you can transfer some files to the drive in order to free of some space.
