I’m sure I’m not the only one who would like to see this. Is there any chance we will see this in a future firmware update??
Cheers

Why exactly.
This is the major issue I have with my WDTV.
Why exactly ?
The Video Processing chip doesent support (3D Sequentiall Frame Packing) and also, processing power … Live Streaming’s CPU is 700 MHz with 512MB DDR2 Ram.
Thanks for your helpful reply
Perhaps the next WDTV will have the power for this.
Cheers
Also from some quick googl’ing
Full 3D Players are using Realtek GPU’s … WDTV use Sigma GPU’s
P.S. Sure you can wait for something that may never happen …
or just watch Half Side-by-Side (or Half Over-Under) 3D
which works fine (personal experience, no problems with either)
eg.
Half-SBS (Half Side-by-Side) Maximum Resolution of 1920x1080 is supported √
(Standard File Types: MKV, MP4, M4V, AVI, WMV, MPG, TS etc)
Half OU (Half Over-Under) Maximum Resolution of 1920x1080 is supported √
(Standard File Types: MKV, MP4, M4V, AVI, WMV, MPG, TS etc)
And of course remember … it’s you’re 3D TV that switches these to 3D for viewing with 3D Glasses
(Some TV’s will “Auto Detect” and switch [mine does] other TV’s you have to press the 3D Button on the remote to select)
