Fault with Youtube caused by Firmware Version 2.02.32

I had held off for many months from updating my firmware and sadly it seems I made the wrong decision in updating.

Before this Firmware upgrade, whenever I went into Youtube I had the choice when I went into my subscriptions of viewing the pages full uploads or viewing the playlists for the user.  The playlists were great as it allowed me to find what I wanted much faster than having to painfully scroll through whole reams of options.

However the latest firmware upgrade has completely changed the way Youtube is presented and the option to view the playlists of the users I am subscribed to appears to be gone.  How do I access the playlists?  And if I can’t, can this please be fixed ASAP as it is making using Youtube on WD TV next to pointless.

Hello

Welcome to the WD Community.

Have you tried rolling back to the previews firmware to see if stills the same?

See if the following link helps

Hi,

Rolling back to the previews firmware is the only FIX

Have also now noticed that my WD won’t play mp4s since this upgrade.  Do WD not rtest their firmware before unleashing them on to the public?

Have you also noticed the 14 Page thread regarding the issue ?

They do, but i guess the Beta Testers did’nt encounter any issues with the mp4s they were testing

Rollback to 2.01.86 and the mp4s will play fine …

The 2014 WDTV Media Player got a firmware fix for mp4s … i guess WDTV Live Streaming owners will have to wait a bit longer

Okay I rolled it back to the Firmware you suggested but its still having a problem with mp4s.  When I switch it on and connect my external drive and try and play an mp4 file it says it is unplayable.  But if I eject the drive, switch off the player, switch it back on and then re-connect the drive the files play as normal.

What the **bleep** is going on?

I think they do not test the firmware at all, also i am surprised that they haven’t taken any action although everyone is rolling back to the old firmware…
